About us
In 2018, we declared the establishment of the United States of Kurdistan’s Government with the aim of securing the entire Kurdistan territory and ensuring that all Kurds can live under an independent state, enjoying security and prosperity. The foundation was announced on July 24, 2018, in the LE CHÂTEAU d’OUCHY building in the city of Lausanne, Switzerland. It is the same building where the agreement endorsing the division of Kurdistan was signed on July 24, 1923. By establishing our government in this building, we delivered a symbolic blow to the occupiers and their supporters.
Since 2018, despite some delays caused by our captivity here, we have undertaken various initiatives. We have now formally submitted our application to the United Nations and conveyed the United States of Kurdistan Government delegation’s request for a meeting. This step marks a significant milestone for us, and there is no turning back. We cannot predict what the future holds for us, but with this action, we have reached the final stage of our efforts at the United Nations level.

UNITED STATES OF KURDISTAN’S GOVERMENT’S ANNOUNCEMENT
MY HUMBLE STATEMENT IN CONTRIBUTION FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT IN EXILE OF THE UNITED STATES OF KURDISTAN.
Kurdish history dates back to around 10,000 BC. During the great migration, Kurds travelled from Scandinavia to areas of Caucasia and around the region of Mount Ararat. Historians tell us, through documented history, that two branches of Kurds moved through the area still known informally as‘Kurdistan’. One group is that of the Gutis – a part of the Kurdish nation that migrated from Ararat to around the Caspian Sea and from there travelled furtherdown to the Arabian Sea and Red Sea areas. The other group is that of the Kurtis. This group moved from Mt. Ararat alongside the Euphrates and Tigris rivers,and their surrounding areas,and continued down to the MediterraneanSea. From this region that group also migrated from Aleppo to Mosul and met the Gutis in and around the Arabian and Red Sea areas.

United Nations in order to recognize the United States of Kurdistan. All the committee members
have agreed that this has to be done as quickly as possible
With this said, the participants of the meeting have announced the government in exile of the
United States of Kurdistan on July 24, 2018, at 15.00 pm in the very room of the Château
dǯOuchy, Lausanne, where the dismemberment of Kurdistan was dictated in 1923.
