In the Rojava region of Kurdistan, our city of Kobani is currently under threat from all sides. Terrorist forces based in Damascus and Turkey are preparing for an attack on Kobani using disproportionate force, including heavy weapons, drones, and air strikes.

Kobani is the honor and dignity of humanity. For us Kurds, Kobani represents the honor, dignity, and conscience of every Kurdish individual. Therefore, we must urgently and persistently call on every circle and every power from which we believe we can receive support to stand with Kobani. Whatever we can do, we must do now.

We also issue a clear call to the leadership and all members of parliament of the DEM Party: Go to Kobani—especially now—and stand as a shield in front of our people. At least once, fulfill your duty. At least once, take a step worthy of the responsibility you assumed by the votes you received and through which you gained seats in parliament. If you do not carry this responsibility, and if you do not regard Kobani as your honor, dignity, and conscience, then we have nothing further to say to you.

We are in contact with many different circles regarding this issue, and we strongly urge all of them to hear this call. Kobani needs support today. Civilians, the elderly, and children are without medicine and assistance, yet they will not surrender.

We reiterate this call insistently to all relevant parties.
